First ever visit prior to attending my son's wedding reception tomorrow. What an idyllic location. Beautiful house and gardens. Peaceful surroundings filles with history. I will be updating this review after tomorrow's event. Update. My son and daughter-in-law's reception was a really special occasion in the function barn. A wonderful space with so many original features. The roof especially is a work of art. A fantastic space for any event. We made many great memories. Keep doing what you are doing.

The guided tour of this fascinating old house was superbly led by Anthea - informative, interesting and just perfectly done. Beautiful gardens and friendly service of proper and good value teas. This place is alive with activity, including recent additions, such as some magnificent 17th Century portraits.

We sadly just missed out on a tour of the house but spent several hours exploring the gardens which were very interesting. Definitely recommend the cafe which serves home made cakes using local products. There was a friendly chicken too who ate crumbs out of my hand, worth a visit in itself.

What a lovely place this is. We were staying locally and couldn't believe this place was free entry (although donations are welcome and deserved) and was so large and well kept. We whiled away a few hours around the different gardens, enjoyed a purchase or two from the tea rooms and wouldn't hesitate to visit again.

The guided tour of the house was very interesting, and the guide was enthusiastic and knowledgeable. The range of artwork on view was such a surprise, including works by Goya, Reynolds and a portrait by the tutor of Rembrandt (I think). Don't miss Anne Boleyn's comb - magical connection to the house and family. Apparently, more to come in the future. It was a wet day so we didn't do the gardens justice but the old cider press and the tower were well worth a visit. We didn't eat there but food is available. The whole place has a lovely atmosphere.

We had a wonderful tour of Hellens on Sunday. It is a hidden gem that must be seen if you are a history buff. They give a guided tour of the house and these need to be booked in advance. There are some beautiful portraits in the house and the history is quite interesting. We combined out tour of Hellens with a tour of Eastnor Castle in Ledbury which made for a great day out.

We enjoyed the Festival on Sunday. So much to see. Stalls were plentiful. Live the plant day care idea! Foods included vegan options, sheeps ice cream, stone baked pizza, curry, homemade quiche, Chinese dumplings and so much more. There were plenty of places to sit and relax. Live music in many places. Lots of children's activities. Looking forward to going again next year.
